Just wanted to reshare this question from a comment, as it probably got lost in the stream, but I really would like some opinions about it:

Should the contest START at Friendica Day and then last for example one week? Or should the "award ceremony" take place on this day?
I would say, give people a week for submission of pictures (to a Banner Contest group) and then another 3 days of "liking" submissions, after that the winner is published and gets the Friendica Server admin information.

And in addition:
Should I post some example banners of my own (I already have made some) or should I wait for the contest to finish? Maybe some examples could fire the participant's imagination.
